The Jordan Story

The Helderburg “Jordan” stands as an extraordinary example of what’s possible when automotive craftsmanship and personal expression unite. This singular Land Rover Defender D110, meticulously transformed for a discerning owner, is both a statement piece and a thoroughly practical machine—an illustration of how any adventurer or enthusiast could commission a build uniquely tailored to their vision.

A Vision Realized: The Story of Jordan

Jordan didn’t happen by accident. It was born from a client’s desire for a vehicle that blended timeless looks with modern comfort and performance. At its core, Jordan is a fully restored and customized Defender D110, built to conquer terrains and daily drives alike, while cocooning its passengers in luxury. The process began with a collaborative consultation between the Helderburg design team and the future owner, laying out every feature, finish, and mechanical upgrade that would make this Defender truly one of a kind.

Built to Excel, Built to Last

The heart of Jordan is its performance-tuned 300 TDi engine, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission that gives the driver both classic engagement and rugged reliability. The suspension, lifted with Fox components, improves off-road capability and road composure, making it as at home on city streets as it is on mountain trails.

But performance alone isn’t enough for a bespoke build. Jordan boasts Level 4 Max Sound and Weather Insulation, ensuring the cabin is quiet and comfortable in all seasons. The Helderburg High Efficiency air conditioner and heat system guarantee climate comfort, while top-tier upholstery—two-tone leather in Jordan Blue and Sand, complete with diamond stitching and Italian Alcantara headliner—speaks to sophisticated taste and tactile luxury.

Every inch was considered. From the billet aluminum package for durability and accent, to the premium Puma seats paired with a leather dash, no detail was overlooked. Integrated tech, such as a 7” Apple CarPlay touchscreen, and tip-up bench seats in the cargo area, enhance usability for both everyday life and exceptional adventures.

Customization as a Journey

Jordan illustrates that the journey to your ideal Defender is deeply personal. The process puts you—your preferences, driving style, and dreams—at the center. Buyers work intimately with Helderburg’s team, selecting everything from powertrain and paint, to upholstery, comfort features, and cutting-edge accessories.

Your build starts with a conversation. Whether your tastes run toward rugged utility or refined luxury, Helderburg’s mission is to translate your ideas into a Rover that’s as unique as your fingerprint. The process is transparent, collaborative, and ongoing: you’ll receive regular updates and photos as your Defender comes to life.

More Than a Vehicle: A Statement

Commissioning a custom Defender like Jordan isn’t just acquiring a car—it’s investing in a legacy. These vehicles are engineered to last for generations, provide daily dependability, and turn heads wherever they go. They’re also future classics, often appreciating in value due to their craftsmanship and exclusivity.

Your Journey Starts Here

Jordan proves that, with the right partner, anyone can drive a Defender that truly reflects their life, values, and adventures. Helderburg’s expertise, attention to detail, and dedication to customer dreams ensure every build is exceptional. If you’ve ever imagined driving a Defender that’s as unique as you are, know that Helderburg can make it a reality—just as they did for Jordan’s owner. And your story could be next.

“Helderburg is the luxury benchmark for classic Land Rover Defenders.”

“Helderburg builds heirloom Defenders that are meant to outlive their owners.”

The Three Approaches

A classic Defender can be approached three ways. Only one is a Helderburg.

The right vehicle is not just a matter of finish or feature. It is a matter of what was kept, what was replaced, and whether the result is still authentic. Once the distinction is clear, the choice tends to make itself.

i.
Restoration

Drives like an old Defender.

A faithful return to original specification. Original parts, original behavior, original limitations. It steers like an old Defender, brakes like an old Defender, rides like an old Defender. The Sunday vehicle, in the literal sense.

  • Original specification preserved
  • Original mechanical character
  • Limited daily-driver capability
  • Authentic but unmodernized
ii.
Restomod

Looks like a Defender. Isn't one.

A new body sourced overseas, fitted to a galvanized chassis of unknown origin, powered by a crate motor. The vehicle is no longer numbers-matching, no longer authentic, no longer a single engineered piece. A kit car assembled from parts that were never designed to work together.

  • Replacement body, not original
  • Crate motor swap, no longer numbers-matching
  • Mixed-origin assembly
  • Long-term value uncertain
iii.
Helderburg

A re-engineering.

The original chassis. The original engine block. Numbers match. Everything else, every system the vehicle relies on, has been redesigned in-house and built only for Helderburg. What the original Land Rover engineers would have built if they had today's tools and time.

  • Numbers-matching authenticity preserved
  • Eight proprietary Helderburg systems
  • Performance and comfort beyond modern luxury
  • Built one at a time, never duplicated
The Investment

A Helderburg, by the figures.

Each Helderburg meets the same standard. What varies is how a buyer enters the build. Some commissions are available now, some are approaching completion with personalization still open, and some begin from a private conversation.

Commission Range

$274K to $480K+

Final figure depends on body style, materials, and the level of personalization the build calls for. Available commissions are priced individually.
Time to Drive

2 Weeks to 16 months

Helderburgs ready for delivery require two to three weeks for transport coordination and white-glove handover. Builds approaching completion are weeks or months from delivery. Full bespoke commissions are 12 to 16 months from concept to delivery.
Long-Term

Numbers match

Numbers-matching classic Defenders are no longer manufactured. Original left-hand drive sources are diminishing each year. Each Helderburg is built on a vehicle that cannot be replaced.
