The Brando Story

Finding the ideal Defender to rebuild is always enjoyable since the people you meet have exciting stories to share. This Defender was originally purchased in Oct of 1994 by a middle age gentleman named Agnolo.

Agnolo is a sheep farmer in Central Italy. He has lived his entire life and raises his sheep in the village of Spello. This 1994 Land Rover Defender 110 was the 5th one he has owned and he says he can’t remember a time that he or his father has not had a Defender.

Agnolo says this Defender has been one of his favorites since it was the one that he used to bring home Brando (means Brilliant Raven) that became the sire that allowed him to start breeding prize winning Maremmano puppies. “Brando was a very special dog in many ways to the entire family and a protector of our sheep. I will never forget bringing Brando home as he would jump at the window of every oncoming vehicle.”

In memory of Agnolo’s favorite pup Brando we are calling this Defender build “Brando.”
