This Norton Commando was first built in 1970 as a 750cc Commando and through an extensive 1 year custom build it has been transformed into a slammed outlaw motorcycle with a British flair.
During the 1 year transformation every nut and bolt has been replaced with custom and the engine components and suspension have been replaced with highly modified performance parts. The level of hand customization, milling, custom aluminum forming and multi stage paint job is very apparent. The black leather seat and seat pan was even custom made by laying multiple layers of fiberglass and then padded in gel.
This Outlaw Norton attracts onlookers and fans that are not even interested in motorcycles.
The hand formed aluminum fuel tank, side panels, chain guard and fenders are truly a work of art by a true craftsman. The custom milled triple tree headset and rearsets are absolutely stunning billet aluminum that are not something anyone can buy off a shelf. The forks started as the original Norton but have been reduced by 2″ in length and custom springs and dampers were made specifically for bike and rider to make the ride perfect.
The engine started life as a 750cc but is much more powerful and sounds deep, throaty and angry due to the custom cam, cylinder head, double carburetor and custom exhaust. It’s not obnoxiously loud but can be easily heard and enjoyed. The kick starter is still functional but a custom made electric start has been added to make starting easy, however you can opt to kick-start it for that cool factor. This custom Norton is truly a one of a kind build that is perfect for an individual that likes to have a work of art that is 1 of 1. The bike is ideal for a rider that is between 150-190lbs and stands 5’4″-5’10”. This Norton rides on a 19″ tire front and 18″ in rear.
