This 1967 Triumph TR6R 650 cc Tiger was a remarkable “Garage Find”. It’s previous owner was sad to part with it since it just confirmed he had become too old to ride it any longer. He had some great stories of purchasing it when he was in the Navy and riding it around in shorts, t-shirt and flip flops. It reminded him of his youth and he definitely maintained it in a climate controlled environment. This Triumph is immaculate and has no rust or fading. Chrome is pristine on this Triumph.
This Triumph TR6R Tiger is the Roadster version and was optimized for road use with several updates seen in 1967. It was Made in England.
It’s truly a Classic British Motorcycle that had a lot of changes in 1967 that made it a serious contender against Japanese motorcycles of that era. It’s a bike that could keep up with the bigger bikes and handled better than any of them.
Improvements were made in the carburetor, transmission and engine to mention a few. This Triumph needs nothing and recently went through a full tune up and changing of tires. It’s ready to be enjoyed for countless miles but will require you to kick start it which is easy. It does not have an electric start.
