This is considerably more than a restoration, and it is not a conventional restomod.
Each commission begins with an authentic, numbers-matching Mercedes-Benz 280 SL. We preserve the identity, elegance and nostalgia of the original Pagoda while re-engineering the experience of driving it.
Power-assisted steering, re-engineered suspension and extensive mechanical refinement create a 280 SL that feels composed, confident and remarkably natural in modern traffic.
The objective is not to make a classic Mercedes feel new.
It is to create the closest thing to a modern driving experience without losing what made the original worth preserving.
Top down on a warm evening, the experience remains wonderfully analog. You hear it. You feel it. You notice the details around you.

No two will be alike.
Exterior color is essentially unlimited, from historic Mercedes-Benz colors to contemporary European finishes or a color selected specifically for your commission.
The interior is equally personal. Leather, carpeting, stitching, wood, metal finishes and individual details are developed around your taste.
You will work directly with Paul throughout the design process.
Each 280 SL may be commissioned with your choice of manual or automatic transmission and is covered by the seven-year Helderburg Concierge Program.

Commission pricing begins at $355,000, depending upon the individual specification.

Approximately 12 to 14 months from specification to completion.

A 50% deposit reserves one of the remaining Helderburg 280 SL commissions and begins the design and build process. The remaining balance is due upon completion of your 280 SL.
