Every Helderburg starts with an original Land Rover Defender chassis and engine block, numbers-matching, sourced before they disappear. The body style is where the lives diverge.
Specifications are approximate and rounded. Final figures are confirmed at commission, when the original donor is sourced and specified.

Most owners arrive thinking they want one body and leave with another. The right Helderburg comes from a conversation about the life you intend to drive it through, not a configurator. Two questions and ten minutes is usually enough.
Helderburg sources original, numbers-matching Defenders in every factory body Land Rover produced. We do not fabricate bodies or swap panels to create a configuration. If the factory built it, we can re-engineer it. If they did not, we do not pretend otherwise.
Same chassis, same wheelbase, different cabin. The 5-Door Wagon has two rows and two center-facing benches, seats up to nine, with other seating configurations available. The 2-Door Hardtop has one row and four center-facing bench seats, seats up to ten, and presents a tighter, more purposeful side profile. Both are enclosed, both are weather-tight, both wear the same Helderburg engineering underneath.
Land Rover produced far fewer Defender pickups than wagons and soft tops, and very few of those came to the United States as left-hand-drive, numbers-matching examples. The D90 Pickup, 110 2-Door Pickup, Double Cab, and 130 Pickup are the four pickup bodies Helderburg builds, and each is harder to source than the body before it.
Yes. Every Helderburg Soft Top is engineered for the same drivetrain, suspension, braking, and cabin acoustics as the hardtop bodies. The top is removable rather than absent. Owners in four-season climates drive them year round.
Twelve to sixteen months, regardless of body style. Each Helderburg is built one at a time, by hand, in our workshop in England. We do not maintain inventory and we do not accelerate timelines by adding labor.
Yes. The United States market is left-hand drive, and most Helderburgs are commissioned in LHD form on original LHD donors. For clients in the United Kingdom, Australia, and other RHD markets, Helderburg sources original right-hand-drive Defenders and builds to the same standard. The chassis and engine block are always numbers-matching to the donor.
