Engine Oil & Filter – What You Must Do
Your Helderburg’s engine requires Shell Rotella T4 15w/40 Heavy Duty Diesel Truck Oil – NON-Synthetic.
Do not use synthetic oil. Do not add oil additives. These can compromise the integrity of a classic diesel engine.
Important:
✅ You must order and supply the oil and filter yourself.
❌ Never allow a mechanic or shop to provide their own oil or filter.

Note: Surface rust on components like the rear bumper, center wheel hubs, or bolts is entirely normal and part of the character of a classic Defender. It poses no risk. A quick spray of WD-40 makes it disappear.
