A chance discovery of Paul’s Helderburg Defenders on Instagram rekindled Andy’s fascination, ultimately leading him across the Atlantic for a special event in Upstate New York. There, the experience came full circle: Paul handed Andy the keys to a fully restored Defender and said, “Just drive it.” After nearly 40 years away from these machines, Andy was immediately transported back—but found that today’s Defenders are anything but old forest trucks.
Meticulously restored by Helderburg, each Defender features flawless paintwork, custom details, and tailored finishes—from chrome or anodized hinges to bold LED lighting and personalized components. Andy calls these vehicles “pieces of art” and marvels at how every choice in color, material, and design blends into a cohesive whole.
